Bookmark Designs
These bookmark designs were created for Lulu.com. Since their emphasis was getting new authors to put their books online, and bookmarks are easily and cheaply printed, I used a few different design approaches.
The mostly orange design had a much more art deco feel and a direct approach to addressing the customer. This design was suited more towards a tech-savvy market.
The design featuring the image, muted tones, and a long quote appeal to an author's sense of pride in their work. This could work on those who may not be a regular internet users, but are regular writers.
